The Comfort of Strangers is an exhibition conceived as a conversation piece, a dialogue between unfamiliar faces and old friends, a gathering of strangers who both comfort and disturb each other. The exhibition imagines unusual connections between different artworks and distant art worlds, reminding us that New York is a stratified and complex landscape—a much greater universe than we may think.
