Frieze Projects 2014

Darren Bader, Eduardo Basualdo, Eva Kotátková, Marie Lorenz, Koki Tanaka, Naama Tsabar, and a special tribute to Allen Ruppersberg’s Al’s Grand Hotel.
The artists were invited to conceive site-specific works that took inspiration from the location of Randall’s Island and in particular its history as a place dedicated to leisure and recreational activity. As a whole, the projects envisioned new temporary spaces for reflection on the role and use of free time in our society.
